         It is the distance of point from another point.The distance between two point is always nonnegative.If the two point is different the distance is positive and if the point is the same the distance is zero

This figure show the line LM ,Line LM is equal to the distance of line ML.The distance of endpoint is always always the same even the exchange of letter it is always interchangeable.
